DCAD staffs an ambulance 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The "Ambulance Barn" is at 222 S. Guyrene St. in Dove Creek, CO. 81324. Volunteers built the barn and still sports the VFW Ambulance sign. The barn has three garages and houses Medic 1, Medic 2, and a SWRETAC MCI Trailer. In addition, board meetings are held at this facility, along with a place for training and a storage area for all of DCAD's inventory.

The administration office and housing for the crew is located at 311 Main Street in Dove Creek, CO. 81324. This facility was purchased in 2020 due to COVID-19 and the need for crew safety and health. The house was bought with a grant and allowed a place for out-of-town employees to stay while on shift. The house has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a place for the ambulance to park during the warmer months, where it can be plugged in and charged.

Medic 1 is a 2017 Ford Type I Ambulance purchased with provider grant funding from Braun NW. The ambulance was initially dark blue with minimal decals and no chevrons on the back for crew safety. In 2022, the truck was wrapped in lime green and blue, and chevrons were placed. This apparatus has a Stryker PowerLoad system and is the primary unit in Dove Creek.

Medic 2 is a 2000 Ford Type I Ambulance. The white ambulance still sports the Dove Creek Volunteer Ambulance Service stickers. This unit is used as the backup apparatus and second out truck. When this truck is called out as a second due, it is staffed with volunteer members.

The SWRETAC MCI Trailer is a trailer donated to the district by the SouthWest Regional Emergency Trauma and Advisory Council. This trailer contains a lot of equipment required for Mass Casualty Incidents.
